Summary: The SEN Tutor role at Remedy Tutors involves providing tailored educational support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in South Ockendon and surrounding areas. Tutors will work directly with students facing challenges such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, focusing on personalized lesson planning and engaging sessions. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and requires experience with SEND students and a valid enhanced DBS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide face-to-face support to children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH, or PMLD.
  • Plan lessons and resources tailored to the student's needs in core subjects or life skills.
  • Deliver engaging sessions and apply skills to raise pupils' confidence.
  • Manage children with challenging behavior and track their learning progress.
  • Provide monthly reports on student progress and potentially engage in outdoor activities.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working with SEND students.
  • Valid enhanced child workforce DBS.

SEN Tutor

Remedy Tutors are looking for SEN experienced tutors, teachers who are looking for flexible and rewarding work with a rewarding schedule in South Ockendon and surrounding areas.

This SEN tutor role involves:

  • working with children with SEN and providing face to face support to children with ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH or PMLD at their homes or a local centre e.g., town hall, library or a centre;
  • planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
  • plan and deliver engaging sessions;
  • apply skills to raise pupils' confidence;
  • manage children with challenging behaviour;
  • track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports;
  • potentially engage in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student, learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.

Experience working with SEND students and a valid enhanced child workforce DBS are both essential.
