Semi-Skilled Operator

We are looking for a Semi-Skilled Operator to join on a 12-month contract. Please note this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoon and nights).

The PCF Shell Room is responsible for all aspects of the conversion of a wax assembly into a ceramic mould fit for cast. Working in a fast-paced environment you will be responsible for the operation of various types of robots and a wide range of other manual activities. Applicants should also be aware that a large amount of physical activity including lifting, bending, twisting and walking are also involved to produce quality shells used in the investment casting process.

As a Semi-Skilled Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Utilizing process experience within the aerospace industry - advantageous but not essential.
• Following technical instructions and records with attention to detail while demonstrating basic computer literacy for documentation and process tracking.
• Adapting to business needs by being flexible and responsive to changing operational demands.
• Working across a 2 or 3 shift pattern as required to support production schedules and operational continuity.
• Complying with all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, ensuring a safe workplace for themselves and their colleagues.

What we require from the candidate:

• Whilst previous experience working in a casting environment is preferential it is not essential. Full training will be given to successful candidates that will cover all elements of the role.
• We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who are willing to work flexibly to support business requirements.
• A diligent person who can understand the importance of HS&E procedural requirements and compliance.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• The ability to interpret data and follow instruction.
• High level of manual dexterity.
• Previous Experienced in Manufacturing / Engineering
