Summary: The Security Vulnerability Analyst role involves conducting vulnerability scans and collaborating with IT and security teams to prioritize and remediate security risks. The position requires continuous monitoring of security systems and compliance with regulatory frameworks. This is a hybrid position based in Barrow, Cumbria, with a contract duration of three months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans using Outpost24 to identify potential security risks within the IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
  • Develop and implement strategies to remediate identified vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Continuously monitor security systems and tools to detect potential threats and provide regular reports on the security posture and remediation progress.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal security policies.
  • Provide training to staff on best practices for security awareness and vulnerability management.
  • Identify and communicate current and emerging information security threats.
  • Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement.
  • Arrange and conduct Security Assurance Reviews and Assessment.
  • Produce Security Assurance Review and Assessment Reports, and present findings to stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, specifically Outpost24.
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Experience in conducting Security Assurance Reviews and Assessments.
  • Ability to produce detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Role Title: Security Vulnerability Analyst

Location: Barrow, Cumbria, LA14 1AF, UK | Hybrid, 60% office, 40% remote

Duration: 3 months contract

Clearance: Active SC

Pay Rate: £429 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Conduct regular vulnerability scans using Outpost24 to identify potential security risks within the IT infrastructure.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and impact.

Develop and implement strategies to remediate identified vulnerabilities, ensuring timely resolution.
