Summary: The role of Security Consultant involves providing security consultancy for a consultancy firm on a part-time basis for a duration of 2-3 months. The candidate must possess active security clearance and be a sole British national, with responsibilities varying based on the selected route, either as a Senior Consultant or a Consultant. The position requires engagement with bid teams and compliance with security requirements in MOD-related projects. The role is primarily remote with occasional site visits to Bristol or East-Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement with bid team and customer.
- Work with Enterprise Architect, Service Architect, and Third-Party Federal Services team for integration of US elements.
- Ensure compliance with customer obligations and frameworks such as NIST.
- Provide security consultancy on compliance requirements.
- Assist in designing security operations and consultancy with Service Architect.
- Perform GAP assessments against customer security requirements.
- Support design of custom delivery solutions for UK-specific network elements.
- Support bid team with knowledge of industrial MOD networks.
- Provide detailed knowledge of applicable DEFSTANs and JSPs.
- Interface with customers to validate Third-Party capabilities.
- Interpret HMG regulations for Enterprise Architect and Service Architect.
Key Skills:
- Active security clearance.
- Experience in security consultancy within MOD or similar organizations.
- Knowledge of NIST and other compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of DEFSTANs and JSPs.
- Ability to engage with bid teams and customers effectively.
- Experience in designing security operations and consultancy.
- Knowledge of industrial MOD networks up to SECRET level.
