Summary: The Security Consultant - Logging Specialist role is focused on enhancing cybersecurity measures within a leading financial services firm. Key Responsibilities:

A degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical experience) is required, with professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, or similar considered advantageous. Key technical competencies include hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, ArcSight, QRadar), a strong grasp of network security components, log management processes, multi-tier application architecture, and scripting capabilities. Candidates should bring solid experience in cybersecurity, particularly in areas such as security logging, incident response, forensic investigations, and audit remediation activities. Strong analytical skills are essential for reviewing security reports and uncovering potential vulnerabilities. Effective communication, collaboration, multitasking abilities, and a high level of attention to detail are also critical to success in this role.
