Summary: The Security Consultant role is a contract position based in London, focusing on leading the Information Protection Programme for a client. The consultant will oversee multiple projects aimed at enhancing information protection controls, including data leakage prevention and data classification. This position requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. The contract is initially for 6 months with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving forward the information protection programme and preparing required documentation and presentations.
- Overseeing multiple projects within the programme, including Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), Data Identification & Classification, and Data Retention.
- Supporting the development of DLP response and investigation processes for suspected data leaks.
- Assisting in the creation and update of security governance documentation, including Data Security Standards.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certifications (Preferred): CISSP or CISM.
- Strong knowledge of data leakage prevention technology.
- Hands-on experience deploying or enhancing DLP controls (technology, people, and process).
- Experience implementing information classification controls across a Microsoft estate.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Azure Information Protection and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (MDCA).
- Awareness of data privacy and legal considerations when deploying security controls.
- Proven ability to drive projects forward independently.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Salary (Rate): £420 daily
