Summary: The role of Oracle Finance Functional Data Analyst / Consultant involves supporting a major ERP transformation by migrating and integrating financial data into Oracle ERP. The consultant will collaborate with finance stakeholders to ensure robust functional design and data integrity while acting as a liaison between business and technical teams. The position requires active SC clearance and focuses on defining data structures that meet operational and compliance needs. This is an initial 6-month contract classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance SMEs to gather and document functional requirements
  • Analyse existing legacy data structures and define target Oracle Finance data models
  • Develop functional design specifications for Oracle Finance modules (e.g. GL, AP, AR, FA, CM)
  • Support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities
  • Define and validate data migration rules in line with financial controls and audit requirements
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly
  • Participate in system testing and user acceptance activities

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in Oracle Finance functional design or data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, etc.)
  • Experience delivering or supporting ERP implementations or upgrades
  • Data mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation experience in a finance context
  • Excellent stakeholder management, able to work with finance teams and technical resources
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Active SC Clearance
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP / Fusion (bonus)
  • Background in Finance or Accounting (e.g. part-qualified accountant) (bonus)

The Role: We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Functional Consultant with experience of Oracle Finance Functional Design to support a major ERP transformation.
