Summary: The Security Charging Advisor role at Sovereign Network Group involves supporting the security charging strategy through various administrative and collaborative tasks. The position requires a blend of home and office working, with travel to Basingstoke and Wembley offices. The advisor will assist in managing legal documentation and property stock lists while working closely with the Treasury and Legal teams. This fixed-term role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of security charging projects until February 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in all necessary steps for putting residential units into charge as security for Bank lending, including liaising with Solicitors.
  • Updating property stock lists and legal documents required for the charging strategy.
  • Working closely with all members of Strategic Treasury to ensure charging packs are reviewed and queries answered in a timely manner.
  • Supporting any due diligence work outsourced to an external legal Panel to accelerate getting units ready for charging.
  • Assisting on work related to improving the loan value of Sovereign's assets, such as providing guidance on mortgagee exclusion clauses for acquisitions.
  • Capturing necessary data for newly developed residential units and retrieving data for existing units.
  • Monthly reporting and invoicing.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good understanding of development/investment or legal documentation and processes.
  • Self-motivated and confident working independently.
  • Basic knowledge of Development and/or Planning documentation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent prioritisation, planning, and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to form strong working relationships across the business.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of different data.
  • Confidence to challenge and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in IT, including MS Excel and Word.

Salary (Rate): £40,000
