Summary: The Security Assurance Coordinator role requires a Senior Assurance Lead to develop and implement a programme assurance strategy, ensuring compliance with Secure by Design (SbD) and assurance policy objectives. The position involves engaging with senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and overseeing security risk and assurance management activities. The role is based on-site in Basingstoke and requires DV clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the programme assurance strategy and manage its implementation and delivery.
  • Achieve Secure by Design (SbD) and assurance policy objectives.
  • Engage with Defence assurance policy stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.
  • Work with programme leadership to manage changes in assurance policy.
  • Oversee operational development and delivery of security risk and assurance management activities.

Key Skills:

  • Detailed understanding of UK Government and MOD SbD and assurance policies.
  • Experience in traditional MOD Security Accreditation delivery.
  • Experience with JSP 604 related assurance processes.
  • Ability to produce supporting documentation for MOD and Government assurance.
  • Experience in leading successful organisational change.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously to achieve assurance objectives.
  • Good presentation and documentation skills.
  • Recognised Security certification (e.g., CCP, CISSP) or equivalent qualification/experience.

Salary (Rate): £700 daily

The Role:

Senior Assurance Lead is needed to develop the programme assurance strategy and manage its initial implementation and delivery

Achieve the Secure by Design (SbD) and assurance policy objectives of the Authority and the programme.

+ Engage at a senior level to influence strategic decisions with Defence assurance policy stakeholders.

+ Work tactically with the programme and its leadership to build on the progress to establish a programme level approach to managing changes in the assurance policy and delivering the necessary Secure by Design policy outcomes.

+ Oversee the operational development and delivery of the security risk and assurance management related activities.

Required experience and qualifications:

Detailed understanding of UK Government and MOD SbD and assurance policies.

Experienced in the delivery of traditional MOD Security Accreditation.

Experienced in the delivery of successful outcomes for JSP 604 related assurance processes.

Experienced in the production of supporting documentation for MOD and Government assurance.

Experienced and in leading and delivering successful organisational change.

Ability to influence and collaborate with external stakeholders.

Ability to work autonomously to achieve the organisational assurance objectives.

Good presentation and documentation skills.

Recognised Security certification - (i.e. CCP, CISSP) or equivalent qualification or experience.
