Security Architect (Network and Application Security)

Summary: The Security Solution Architect role focuses on managing end-to-end solution designs within large-scale transformation programmes, emphasizing Network Security, Application Security, and Network Segmentation. The position is with a global financial services organization undergoing significant changes in their Cyber Security division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in producing high-level solution designs and conducting security assessments. This role requires a hands-on approach with various security technologies and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-level solution designs in line with business requirements.
• Conduct security assessments and threat modelling to inform design decisions.
• Utilize expertise in network security and segmentation across data centers, cloud environments, and containerised platforms.
• Implement technologies such as physical and virtual Firewalls and MPLS/eVPN.
• Apply macro- and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Leverage financial services experience where applicable.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in network security and segmentation.
• Proven ability to produce high-level solution designs.
• Hands-on experience with relevant security technologies.
• Familiarity with macro- and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.

Salary (Rate): £650 daily

GCS Cyber are partnered with a global financial services organisation undergoing multiple large-scale transformation programmes across their Cyber Security division. They are now looking for a Security Solution Architect who has extensive experience managing end-to-end solution designs within large-scale transformation programmes with a heavy focus on Network Security, Application Security and Network Segmentation.

• Proven experience producing high-level solution designs in line with business requirements.
• Proven ability to conduct security assessments and threat modelling to inform design decisions.
• Strong background in cybersecurity, with deep expertise in network security and segmentation across data centers, cloud environments, and containerised platforms.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as physical and virtual Firewalls and MPLS/eVPN
• Familiarity with macro- and micro-segmentation strategies
• Financial Services experience is an advantage
