Summary: The Security Architect role at Amdaris is a short-term contract position focused on providing expert consultancy to enhance security architecture and governance for various organizations. The successful candidate will lead assessments of client systems and deliver actionable recommendations to improve security maturity. This position requires a strong technical foundation and strategic mindset to address security risks across diverse industries. The contract is set to begin on November 29th and will last a minimum of four weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive reviews of client systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify security risks and architecture gaps.
- Produce detailed reports outlining risk assessments, security enhancements, and best practice recommendations aligned with recognised frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, OWASP).
- Work directly with clients and senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and risk appetite; challenge and guide decisions on technology, cloud security, data protection, and governance.
- Review architectural designs, data flows, and technical documentation to assess security implications and identify mitigation strategies.
- Advise on secure software development practices, DevSecOps adoption, and security controls integration across the SDLC.
- Collaborate with internal teams across sales, delivery, and technical domains to ensure security is embedded throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Support presales activities by providing expert input into proposals, security solution design, and value-add service recommendations.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in security architecture, information security consulting, or enterprise architecture with a security focus.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing secure cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of security frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
- Experience integrating security into software development and DevOps environments.
- Strong understanding of network, application, and data security principles.
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex security concepts into business terms and influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a consultative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Working across a variety of industries in both B2B and B2C contexts, you will assess and advise on security strategy, architecture, infrastructure, compliance, and risk management; delivering holistic guidance and actionable recommendations to improve security maturity and resilience.
