Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security architecture reviews and embed security into technical solution design.
  • Perform firewall rule set reviews, including standard, next-gen, and virtualized platforms.
  • Design and manage secure connectivity and segmentation patterns aligned with policy.
  • Validate firewall rules against approved zoning and segmentation models.
  • Lead small teams, oversee analyst output, and provide technical assurance to stakeholders.
  • Work across cyber functions to operationalize security processes and controls.
  • Analyze legacy systems, identify architectural risks, and propose improvements.
  • Create and deliver knowledge transfer material and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and criminal checks.

Interim Security Architect – Financial Services

Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm for an experienced Security Architect to become an associate for the consulting firm on a large-scale cybersecurity programme for a major financial services organisation. The focus is on firewall governance, network segmentation, and architectural assurance across multiple security domains.

Key Details:

  • Start: ASAP (c.2 week lead time for onboarding and paperwork)
  • Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite in City of London
  • Duration: Initial 6-month contract, strong likelihood of extension
  • Rate: £600/day via PAYE (PLUS 12.07% holiday pay) (PAYE with employer’s NI & tax deducted at source – no umbrella company admin fees)

  • Proven experience in security architecture reviews and embedding security into technical solution design
  • Strong expertise in firewall rule set reviews , including standard, next-gen, and virtualised platforms
  • Ability to design and manage secure connectivity and segmentation patterns aligned with policy
