Summary: A leading consultancy is seeking a Security Architect for a 6-month contract in Belfast, focusing on delivering secure solutions across software, cloud, data, and AI platforms. The role involves designing security architecture and embedding best practices into cloud-native environments while collaborating with engineering and architecture teams. The position requires proven experience in security architecture within cloud and software environments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cloud platforms and expertise in application and data security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver security architecture for software, cloud, and AI/data solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling, and security design reviews.
  • Embed security controls into development lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Provide subject matter expertise on emerging risks in AI, data, and cloud platforms.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Security Architect within cloud and software-focused environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Expertise in application and data security, AI/ML security, and cloud-native security.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, containerisation, and zero trust principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or TOGAF.
  • Background in consultancy or regulated industries.
