Summary: The role of Security Architect focuses on leading enterprise-level security projects within the financial services sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of security architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technology requirements.
- Develop and enforce consistent security strategies and frameworks across the organisation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security processes into enterprise architecture and technology platforms.
- Conduct threat modelling to identify potential security risks and implement effective mitigations.
- Ensure adherence to security standards and best practices, including encryption, IAM, and SIEM.
- Support the adoption and implementation of security technologies including network security solutions (firewalls, IPS/IDS, web application firewalls, NAC, etc.).
- Drive pattern-based design initiatives, enabling assurance workflows (implementation experience in ServiceNow is an advantage).
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and deliver enterprise security roadmaps and strategy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of security processes, ensuring the protection of sensitive financial data and systems.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years' experience in security architecture, with a proven track record in the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of security architecture methodologies (e.g., NATO Architecture Framework or similar).
- Applied knowledge and experience with threat modelling techniques.
- Expertise in general security practices such as encryption, IAM, SIEM, and supporting technologies.
- Extensive experience with network security technologies (firewalls, IPS/IDS, web application firewalls, NAC, etc.).
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, with the ability to develop and execute security roadmaps.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
- Exposure to and understanding of both existing and emerging technologies, along with processing environments in the financial services sector.
- ServiceNow experience is a plus.
