Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Management within a Defence and Security Sector.
- Develop security architectures in conjunction with IT Architects and SMEs.
- Apply security design specifics to create security architecture.
- Provide strategic direction for Security projects.
- Produce evidence to meet MOD regulations.
- Design options and solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with teams across Software Engineering, DevSecOps Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Agile, and Cyber Security.
- Ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.
Key Skills:
- Experience in risk management using industry-approved methodologies (e.g., NIST 800-53).
- Ability to identify and implement risk management activities.
- Knowledge of secure by design methodology.
- Technical collaboration with various teams.
- Experience in selecting appropriate security components for diverse infrastructures.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory considerations in cyber security.
- Ability to create comprehensive security documentation.
- Familiarity with JSP 604 / 453 and assurance artefacts.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD principles.
- Experience with MOD Accreditors and departmental IT in defence and security.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern tech stacks (e.g., Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
