Summary: The role of Sectional Engineer - Civils involves overseeing day-to-day operations on the Teesside NZT Power Project, ensuring that site teams and subcontractors are effectively coordinated. The engineer will be responsible for checking technical information, managing HSEQ controls, and ensuring that construction methodologies are understood by site engineers. This position is offered on an ongoing contract basis with a focus on delivering civil engineering works efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check technical information (specifications and drawings).
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Identify ambiguities or shortcomings and submit Technical Queries for resolution.
  • Take off materials from drawings.
  • Ensure Site Engineers are conversant with construction methodology for civil engineering works.
  • Manage the development of HSEQ controls for civil engineering works.
  • Manage the detailed look-ahead programme for civil engineering works.
  • Delegate dimensional control to Site Engineers and ensure accurate setting out of Temporary and Permanent Works.

Oversee day to day operations

Coordinate Site teams and subcontractors

Identification of any ambiguities or shortcomings therein and submission of Technical Queries to enable their resolution; take- Off materials from drawings.

Ensure the Site Engineers are fully conversant with the construction methodology for the civil engineering works.

Manage the development of HSEQ controls for the civil engineering works.

Manage the detailed look-ahead programme for the civil engineering works.

Delegation of dimensional control to the Site Engineers and ensuring that the Temporary and Permanent Works are consistently and accurately set out.
