Summary: The Section Engineer role involves overseeing a large infrastructure project in the Middlesbrough area, with a focus on ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards. The position requires resolving technical difficulties and managing procurement schedules while producing necessary documentation for site operations. Previous experience with Tier 1 contractors and civil engineering projects is preferred. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications and certifications in civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
- Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with PD to ensure site have adequate resources to complete the tasks
- Produce ITP's and Task Briefings
- Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets
- Setting out
Key Skills:
- Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects
- Experience in structures, pavements and drainage
- Competent in management of Temporary works
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
- Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering
- CSCS
- SMSTS
