Summary: The IT Project Manager role at Santander involves overseeing the successful delivery of 2-3 IT infrastructure and obsolescence projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budgets. Key Responsibilities:
- End to end project management from discovery to delivery ensuring that project deliverables are met
- Help define project scope, functional and non-functional requirements, and deliverables
- Create project plans with appropriate milestones, defining tasks and allocating resources
- Build, manage and lead the project team
- Create effective communication plans
- Liaise with both technical and non-technical supplier resources
- Organise and facilitate meetings with project team members
- Manage budget, scope, and project schedule, tracking deliverables and reporting on project progress
- Present reports to stakeholders on progress, including risks, issues, and suggested solutions
- Identify scope-creep and ensure that change requests are raised and approved
- Manage the transition of the project into business-as-usual service
- Evaluate and assess project results, including 'lessons learned' and benefits realization assessments
- Deal with or escalate identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies
- Contribute to project management best practice and seek continuous improvement opportunities
Key Skills:
- Significant practical experience in a similar role
- Experience delivering IT Infrastructure and obsolescence projects
- Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Ability to deal with staff at all levels
- Good understanding of IT service delivery
- Background in Financial Services industry desirable
- Experience with internal, external, 3rd party and outsourced resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong emotional intelligence, influencing, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and adjust to changing priorities
- Solid work ethic with attention to detail
- Qualifications: Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent
