Summary: The Scrum Master will facilitate the adoption and effective execution of the Scrum framework within the project team, collaborating closely with stakeholders such as product owners, developers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role requires guiding the team on Agile principles, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and advocating for continuous improvement while managing project progress and communication with senior management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the banking sector and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and coach the project team on Agile principles, values, and practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure that the project team is utilizing Agile tools and techniques effectively.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and actively identify and address any impediments that may impact the team's ability to deliver.
  • Work with the product owner to prioritize the product backlog based on business value and manage dependencies.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that user stories are well-defined, estimable, and testable.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to the stakeholders.
  • Encourage collaboration, transparency, and a culture of learning and growth within the project team.
  • Serve as a bridge between the project team and senior management, providing frequent updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Identify and implement best practices in Agile project management to drive efficiency and productivity.

Key Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in the banking sector or a similar industry.
  • Experience of working in Agile release train in a scaled agile framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies, specifically Scrum.
  • Experience in implementing and coaching Agile practices and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with banking processes, procedures, and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills to guide the team, resolve conflicts, and drive decision making.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to quickly identify and address any obstacles that may arise.
  • Experience with JIRA or other Agile project management tools.

  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a development team.
  • Experience with JIRA or other Agile project management tools.
  • Knowledge of banking industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
