Key Responsibilities:

What do we need?
We're seeking a Product Centric Scrum Master to manage the day-to-day outputs of a high-performing team of software engineers, who are responsible for developing and maintaining our services to the quality expected of a Toyota brand - This requirement is for a dedicated Scrum Master, but more than that, we need someone who has a depth of experience delivering into a product focussed environment.
What are the services you would provide to us?
- Team Leadership: define and run the day-to-day processes for software development and maintenance. Facilitate agile ceremonies and support the team by removing blockers and distractions. Take the work off the plan and into the hands of engineers.
- Team Governance: Manage the cost profile of the team and perform capacity planning with support from the engineering manager. Represent the team in discussions on cost efficiency and business governance.
- Service Ownership: overall accountable for quality of service of the systems maintained by the team. Work with the PO, product and delivery team to ensure changes are delivered to time and quality. Represent the team during incident and problem management processes.
- Process Optimisation: Contribute to improvements in engineering processes to ensure high efficiency, fast delivery, and high-quality code across different engineering-centric teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including Product, Design, and Operations, to deliver innovative solutions and meet project timelines.
What are we expecting you to bring?
- Experience: 7+ years of experience working with software teams, with 2+ years in a leadership role in an agile environment, ideally within a scale up.
- Technical: Familiarity with software development processes within an enterprise environment. Experience with software design patterns and software delivery work related to high-volume data streams. IOT experience a plus.
- Agile: Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Experience in communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering scalable, performant solutions.
- Working Environment: Ideally we would like someone who has experience working in a developing, high-growth or changeable environment, adapting to rapidly changing priorities, and scaling engineering operations.
