Summary: The Scrum Master will work for a leading UK telecommunications company, guiding both technical and non-technical teams in agile processes to enhance team performance and delivery quality. This role focuses on implementing agile methodologies to improve time to market and team satisfaction, while managing scrum events and collaborating with Product Owners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile practices and experience in the telecommunications sector. Certification as a Scrum Master is required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide and support teams in agile processes to improve velocity, delivery quality, and team satisfaction.
• Organise and conduct scrum events such as sprint planning, retrospectives, product demos, and daily scrums.
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
• Manage sprint planning and execution, providing visibility into sprint status.
• Participate in roadmap planning and scheduling, identifying project dependencies and creating forecasts.
• Identify and mitigate potential issues and roadblocks to ensure high throughput of development teams.
• Facilitate issue resolution and safeguard the scrum team from external influences.
• Assist with backlog maintenance and prioritisation of defect resolution.
• Coach team members in story selection and task definition.
• Create and maintain sprint and product burndowns, velocity metrics, and forecasts.
• Contribute to the rollout of agile methodologies through training and coaching.
• Support collaboration with other agile practitioners and project managers for alignment of practices.
• Liaise with Product Owner and delivery leads to understand strategic priorities and objectives.

Key Skills:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of agile and lean principles and value-based delivery.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with agile, scrum, or lean methodologies.
• Experience in technology delivery within the telecommunications, broadband, or OSS/BSS domain.
• Strong coaching and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
