Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master with a strong background in Data Engineering to lead Agile practices within data-centric projects. The candidate will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and ensure adherence to Agile principles while delivering high-quality data solutions. This role requires collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to manage data workflows effectively. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of transparency and accountability within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide the team in Agile/Scrum best practices and ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to manage data workflows.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines and processes.
- Ensure timely delivery of data products and solutions.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
- Track and report on sprint metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).
- Support backlog grooming and prioritization with Product Owners.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices.
- Ensure alignment with CI/CD and data governance standards.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Proven experience in data-focused projects or data engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, ETL pipelines).
- Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams.
- Knowledge of data management best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
