Summary: The role of Scrum Master involves joining a high-impact development team focused on enhancing anti-financial crime capabilities within a regulated environment. The position requires facilitating agile ceremonies, aligning teams, and driving collaboration to ensure seamless delivery. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based in London with a hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAFE agile environments and a strong background in stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and stand-ups.
- Align business, product owners, and development teams to program priorities and make informed decisions.
- Provide sprint and release progress reports to senior stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration across teams to remove blockers and foster transparency.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and outcomes.
- Share accountability for the quality and timely delivery of team outputs.
- Support and coach product owners on backlog management and refinement.
- Maintain RAID logs and manage updates in JIRA.
- Serve as the point of contact for external communications and project status updates.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in SAFE agile environments, with expertise in Scrum and SAFe frameworks.
- Strong background in PI Planning and running Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
- Skilled in agile metrics and using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Expert user of JIRA and Confluence, with the ability to guide product owners on backlog prioritisation.
- Experience facilitating program-level workshops to improve flow and reduce waste.
- Track record of managing multiple teams (scrum of scrums) and coaching Scrum adoption.
- Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
- Agile certification and deep knowledge of agile principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with development best practices, including TDD, BDD, and code quality standards.
