Summary: The role of Technical Scrum Master at SiiRA involves leading Agile teams to enhance productivity and facilitate Agile ceremonies. The position requires a collaborative individual with a strong technical background and at least 5 years of experience in software development environments. The Scrum Master will coach teams on Agile best practices and drive continuous improvement while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. This role is integral to fostering high-performing teams and supporting Agile transformation initiatives across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Scrum Master for 1-2 Agile teams, facilitating all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, etc.).
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and help drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.
- Identify and remove impediments and blockers that hinder team productivity.
- Track and report on key Agile metrics (velocity, sprint burndown, etc.) to help teams improve.
- Act as a servant leader and coach to foster high-performing teams.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, developers, QA engineers, and leadership to ensure transparency.
- Help with Agile transformation initiatives across departments and drive adoption of Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe where applicable.
- Ensure technical alignment and sprint commitments are met, leveraging your understanding of engineering practices and tools.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Solid technical background or hands-on experience with development tools, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), or software engineering best practices.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Background in software engineering, DevOps, QA, or product management.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams (including developers, QA, DevOps, and Product).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work with distributed/remote teams.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Agile certifications preferred (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, etc.).
