Summary: The Scrum Master role in Bradford, UK, involves facilitating the Scrum process within an IT development team, ensuring adherence to Agile principles. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Organize and lead daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure effective and efficient team communication and collaboration.
- Agile Coaching: Coach the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Guide the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles or impediments that hinder the team’s progress.
- Act as a buffer between the team and any distracting influences.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and support the team in continuous improvement of processes and practices.
- Implement best practices and tools for Agile development and project management.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
- Ensure that the team’s progress and performance are transparent and visible to all stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT development environment.
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
- MS Dynamics hands-on experience.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and multicultural environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams.
- Experience working with hybrid European/India teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
