Summary: The Scrum Master role in Birmingham involves leading Agile delivery and empowering teams within a digital environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies – daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Supporting a cross-functional delivery team to stay focused and productive
- Removing blockers and shielding the team from distractions
- Championing Agile principles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Building strong relationships between stakeholders and delivery teams
- Supporting the Service Owner in maintaining a prioritised backlog
- Tracking delivery metrics (velocity, burndown charts) and reporting progress
- Promoting psychological safety and a high-performing team culture
Key Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Scrum Master role in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe)
- Solid grasp of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices
- Background in software development or digital project delivery
- Strong communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills
- A pragmatic and adaptable mindset
