Summary: We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a strong technical background in Java and APIs to join our team in Knutsford. The role involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing the change backlog, and collaborating with the BFA team to ensure effective project delivery. A certified Scrum Master with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle is essential for this position. This is a hybrid role requiring two days on-site work each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Ensure clear and structured status updates to stakeholders and consumers.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Product Owners to track progress against milestones, risks, issues, and budgets.
- Provide technical input to the development approach, balancing cost, time, quality, and risk.
- Identify, manage, and resolve technical risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs).
Key Skills:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
- Strong experience in Agile software development environments.
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent facilitation, servant leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in Financial Services is essential.
- Experience with Java (Servlets, JSPs, Spring, Spring Boot).
- Understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and web service protocols (SOAP, WSDL, RAML).
- Familiarity with databases such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL.
- Knowledge of application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat).
- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Private Cloud).
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, and version control tools.
