Key Responsibilities:
- Lead agile development teams in delivering software components for immigration services.
- Collaborate with multiple application developers and cloud service providers.
- Manage senior stakeholders and communicate effectively within an agile context.
- Utilize project management methodologies and agile practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban).
- Articulate logical designs and understand their translation to physical infrastructure.
- Define and work within constraints of non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as cost and scalability.
Key Skills:
- Certified Agile ScrumMaster (CSM, CSP-SM) with experience in Scrum, XP, and Kanban.
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud Formation or Terraform, Nginx, and Linux administration.
- Experience with collaboration tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage senior technical and program stakeholders.
- Experience in leading large-scale IT and business transformation projects, preferably in the public sector.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Hashicorp tools (Packer, Consul, Vault).

Role Purpose / Summary
MBTP Program Background: The Migration Borders Technology Portfolio is building functionality to transform the way the Client manages immigration into the United Kingdom. The finished system will be used by the client staff based in the UK and in consulates across the globe, and by all applicants for Visa or Immigration services. The delivery framework envisages multiple application developers collaborating to deliver software components and being integrated by the Client. Multiple providers of commodity cloud services will provide hosting. The application developments will be delivered using an agile methodology in line with Government IT policy.
