Summary: The Scrum Master role involves leading agile delivery for a high-profile digital transformation program within the healthcare sector. The position requires facilitating Agile ceremonies, supporting team collaboration, and ensuring alignment with clinical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles and a background in healthcare. This is a hybrid position for a duration of six months and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews) and promote continuous improvement
  • Support the delivery team in breaking down work, removing blockers, and aligning to sprint goals
  • Act as a servant leader, enabling cross-functional collaboration across Trust stakeholders, clinicians, analysts, and developers
  • Guide the team through discovery and delivery phases, supporting the creation of electronic prototypes and data-informed solutions
  • Ensure that outputs remain aligned with clinical and regulatory standards (eg, CQC, NMC, NICE)
  • Promote Agile principles across teams unfamiliar with Agile ways of working, helping embed an iterative mindset
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritise backlogs based on user value and project outcomes
  • Coordinate with data analysts, architects, and digital specialists to align delivery with technical dependencies
  • Monitor team health and velocity, adjusting facilitation style to team maturity and context
  • Support the validation of high-priority user journeys through user feedback and iterative design cycles

Key Skills:

  • Experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles
  • Ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies effectively
  • Experience in the healthcare sector
