Summary: The Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in supporting the digital transformation journey at Virgin Media O2 by guiding development teams in agile delivery and fostering a culture of self-organisation and collaboration. This position involves hands-on coaching, maintaining agile health metrics, and working closely with product owners to ensure business value delivery. The role requires deep knowledge of scrum, kanban, and other agile methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will also contribute to a flexible-first work environment that promotes meaningful collaboration among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure teams adhere to agile/scrum practices prescribed by the VM Digital Agile Practice.
- Organize and conduct scrum events, including sprint planning meetings, sprint retrospectives, product demos, and daily scrums.
- Coach scrum team members in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.
- Work hands-on with scrum and Kanban teams, supporting and guiding them in ways of working and agile deliveries.
- Liaise with the Product Owner and delivery leads to understand strategic priorities, key business & technical objectives, and product roadmaps.
Key Skills:
- Experience working in a scaled Agile environment.
- Experience in the telecommunications, broadband, or OSS/BSS domains is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro/Mural, Service Now.
- Stakeholder Management - able to build relationships across a wide variety of audiences and situations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Working as a Scrum Master, you will support our digital transformation journey to help bring our digital strategy to life. Reporting to one of our chapter leads in the Agile and Product Practice, you will support the adoption of Agile across the Digital organisation. You will work hands-on as a Scrum Master, guiding development teams in agile delivery, self-organisation and collaboration, with a focus on continuous improvement. You have deep knowledge of, and experience with, scrum and kanban, as well as other agile/lean methods and scaling models. You will improve and maintain agile health and delivery metrics for your assigned squads. You will work closely with product owners to support business value delivery.
