Summary: The Scientist I position in Analytical Development focuses on advancing analytical technologies for small molecule and oligonucleotide drug substances and products. The role involves chromatographic method development and applying analytical quality by design principles. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in organic and analytical chemistry, along with hands-on laboratory experience. Proficiency in analytical techniques such as UV spectroscopy, HPLC/UPLC, and LCMS is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and document experiments under the guidance of a manager.
- Develop and optimize analytical methods using HPLC/UPLC systems.
- Design AQbD experiments and leverage experimental data for chromatographic separation modeling.
- Perform sample analysis using HPLC/UPLC with UV or MS detection.
- Analyze and interpret data, write technical reports, and establish protocols.
- Stay informed on advancements in therapeutic small molecule and oligonucleotide development by attending relevant meetings and seminars.
Key Skills:
- Fundamental lab skills, including pipetting, solution preparation, and centrifugation.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC/UHPLC systems and related software.
- Strong understanding of liquid chromatography (LC) separation principles.
- Familiarity with LCMS is preferred.
- Experience in analytical method development for pharmaceuticals is a plus.
- Proficiency in documentation practices, data analysis, reporting, and review.
- Ability to quickly learn new methods and demonstrate scientific curiosity and innovation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
