Summary: The Scientific Communications Specialist is responsible for evaluating clinical literature and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align strategies. The role involves creating bibliographies, managing scientific publications, and conducting literature searches to support regulatory submissions. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to quality regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and characterize clinical literature including collaboration with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment with relevant strategy. (60%)
- Create bibliographies and write summaries for assessing clinical safety and performance of products (20%)
- Manage the departmental scientific publication repository using reference management software (e.g., EndNote) (10%)
- Conduct literature searches to support regulatory submissions (5%)
Key Skills:
- Comply with Quality System Regulations and relevant guidelines for scientific publications, including but not limited to ICMJE and GPP3
- Proven knowledge and understanding in the development of scientific/medical conference proceedings and manuscript publication
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
- Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
- Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Moderate knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines
- Moderate knowledge of current developments, clinical literature, and therapy area
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
