- Maintaining laboratory equipment, including routine cleaning, calibration, and repairs where appropriate.
- Managing chemical stock, materials, and equipment inventories.
- Safely storing, labelling, and disposing of chemicals following CLEAPSS and school guidelines.
- Supporting teachers during practical sessions when required.
- Monitoring classroom safety, ensuring equipment is used correctly, and maintaining tidy, organised prep rooms.
- Assisting with ordering and replenishing science materials.
- Carrying out general administrative tasks to support the science department.
