Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience)
- Plan creative and inclusive lessons to support students of all abilities in developing scientific understanding
- Use practical experiments and investigations to bring Science to life
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
- Participate in departmental planning, enrichment activities, science clubs, trips, and STEM events
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school improvement
Key Skills:
- A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of effective teaching strategies
- Ability to inspire students and make Science accessible and engaging
- Commitment to high standards, student achievement, and fostering curiosity
- Excellent classroom management, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach
