Science Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Mansfield to recruit a full time Science Teacher for a maternity cover starting in April 2026. This role will involve teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, full time, and is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school community.

The Role - Science Teacher (Mainly KS3 with KS4)As an Science Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-planned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Follow established schemes of work while bringing creativity to lessons
• Assess, track and support pupil progress effectively
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and literacy
• Contribute positively to the Maths department and wider school ethos

Contract & Salary DetailsStart date: April 2026 (Until Summer)Working pattern: Full timeKey Stages: KS3 & KS4£180 - £235 per day

Qualifications & Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science
• Be organised, adaptable and committed to high-quality teaching
• Have strong classroom management and communication skills
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
