Summary: Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a science teacher for a maternity cover position at a school in southeast London, starting September 2026. Detailed Description From Employer:

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting a science teacher to work at a school in the southeast London area. The Science teacher will be needed to cover a maternity leave at the school starting in September 2026 . If the person is successful in the role there is an opportunity to work towards a full-time school-based contract.

The science teacher can have a specialism in any of Biology, Chemistry and Physics but must be comfortable covering all three subjects. The teacher will be responsible for taking pupils through a busy exam period so must be comfortable teaching KS3 and KS4 and could be required to teach up to KS5 on occasion.

The role Pay based on pay scale (M1-UPS3). Payments are a week in arears, the following Friday. Expected to teach through GCSE exam period.

To commute to the school there are primarily train and bus routes. The DLR tube line does connect close by so this can also be an option. Further, there is an on site car park which is free to be used by staff members if you do wish to drive to school.
