Schools PFI Expiry Project Manager
Location: South East England
Rate: TBC
Contract: 6 - Months
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the expiry planning and execution for the Schools PFI contract, ensuring contractual compliance and best practice.
- Developing and maintaining the expiry plan (milestones, governance, risks, reporting) and securing stakeholder approvals.
- Translating contract obligations into a clear exit and demobilisation plan.
- Coordinating asset and service handover activity (inspections, technical surveys, workshops, documentation).
- Managing risks, change control and programme governance to meet milestones and minimise exposure.
- Supporting contractual, commercial and performance management through the expiry period, including disputes and variations.
- Identifying resourcing requirements and supporting any procurement or recruitment needed for expiry delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records and evidence for audit and assurance.
About you:
- At least 5 years' experience in contract management, procurement or commercial service delivery.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex projects with governance, reporting and risk controls.
- Working knowledge of PFI contracts and how they operate, ideally with exposure to expiry / handback activity.
- Strong understanding of FM operations, statutory compliance and asset management.
- Confident senior stakeholder manager, comfortable working with multiple parties and external advisers.
- Project management qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, MSP or similar) desirable.
