Summary: The School Mental Health Programme Manager will oversee Wellbeing Services and therapeutic interventions for children under 11 in Southwark schools. This role involves managing teams of Wellbeing Coaches and therapeutic practitioners to implement mental health initiatives for students, parents, and teachers. The manager will be responsible for building relationships with school staff, ensuring quality service delivery, and developing resources for mental health support. The position is fixed-term until December 31, 2025, and requires experience in mental health and working with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Wellbeing Coaches and therapeutic practitioners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with teachers and school staff for effective engagement in mental health support.
  • Oversee the creation of resources for the School Engagement Team programme.
  • Quality assure service delivery and provide frontline support.
  • Implement various mental health initiatives for children, parents, and teachers.
  • Conduct initial assessments and design action plans with service users.
  • Collect feedback from children and young people to shape service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies.
  • Plan and manage a complex work programme effectively.
  • Fulfill regular evening and weekend duties as required.
