To support the Headteacher/School Business Manager and to be responsible for the effective management, administration control and monitoring of all financial aspects in the day-to-day running of the finance section. Contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of support services and/or management of support staff, including co-ordination and delegation of relevant activities.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
- Management of school fund
- Ordering school materials and equipment on behalf of all departments
- Manage weekly BACS run
- Processing and reconciliation of petty cash
- Processing month end procedures
- Deal with queries from suppliers
- Organise and maintain contracts and SLA's
- Raising sales invoices
- Assisting the administrative team when required
- Maintain effective and details financial records
Experience of Sage for Education is essential, SIMS experience is advantageous and experience of tucasi parent pay is a bonus!
To be considered for this position you must:
- Have previous finance experience (school based essential)
- Hold an enhanced DBS for working with children (on the update service), or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
- Have a complete 10 year work history
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including from your most recent employer
