Summary: The OLE Scheme Project Manager role focuses on leading the delivery of Overhead Line Equipment projects within the rail sector, ensuring successful execution from concept to commissioning. The position requires managing various stakeholders, budgets, and site teams while prioritizing safety and compliance with industry processes. The ideal candidate will have proven rail experience and a strong understanding of project management principles in a live rail environment. This is a hybrid position based in Manchester with a rolling contract duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of OLE schemes in a live rail environment.
  • Managing contractors, designers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Owning programme, cost control, and risk management.
  • Working closely with Network Rail and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring safety is always the priority.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering OLE projects in the rail sector.
  • Strong understanding of GRIP / PACE processes.
  • Confident stakeholder and client management skills.

The Role

We’re looking for an OLE Scheme Project Manager with proven rail experience to lead the delivery of Overhead Line Equipment projects from concept through to commissioning. You’ll be at the heart of it all — managing programmes, budgets, stakeholders, and site teams — ensuring every mast, wire run, and possession lands exactly as planned.
