Summary: The Scheduling Expert SAP e-PPDS will be responsible for delivering harmonized processes for the Production Planning stream within the S/4 HANA template, focusing on the transition from existing solutions. This role requires significant experience with SAP APO PPDS/e-PPDS and involves collaboration with various teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment of processes. The position is based in London and operates on a hybrid model, requiring three days on-site each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a set of harmonised processes for the Production Planning stream within the S/4 HANA template, on SAP e-PPDS.
  • Ensure adherence to the global S/4 HANA template with an adopt not adapt approach to process design.
  • Define business requirements for the Scheduling/Production Planning stream and collaborate with functional teams and SI/BI partners.
  • Support robust unit, system, and user acceptance testing, resolving any design issues.
  • Ensure E2E alignment across ERP program for Scheduling/Production Planning processes.
  • Work with other Process SMEs to identify and develop solutions to mitigate risks/issues.
  • Support the development of education and training materials and associated change management.
  • Ensure programme benefits are delivered through the implementation of Production Planning processes.

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience on SAP APO PPDS/e-PPDS.
  • Strong understanding of S/4 HANA template processes.
  • Ability to define business requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions for process alignment.

Detailed Description From Employer:

My global client is seeking to recruit a Scheduling Expert SAP e-PPDS on an initial 12 month contract to be based in London. It is hybrid and will require 3x days onsite per week.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a set of harmonised processes for the Production Planning stream within the S/4 HANA template, on SAP e-PPDS , supporting the replacement of the current solutions (CM25 for some, and APO PPDS for the others).
  • Adherence to the global S/4 HANA template ensuring an adopt not adapt approach is taken to process design to ensure successful transition from SAP ECC.
  • Accountable for defining the business requirements for the Scheduling/Production Planning stream and collaborating with the functional teams as well as SI/BI partner to ensure that these are translated into the template build , supporting robust unit, system and user acceptance testing and ensuring any design issues are resolved.
  • Ensure E2E alignment across ERP program for Scheduling/Production Planning processes and work with other Process SMEs to identify, problem solve and develop solutions to mitigate risks / issues with the support of the Process Owners as well as working closely with the Smart Manufacturing group to ensure we have consistency on processes across systems ( OMP Scheduling ).
  • Support development of education and training materials and associated change management.
  • Ensure programme benefits are delivered through implementation of the Production Planning processes.

Significant experience on SAP APO PPDS / e-PPDS is required for this role.
