Summary: The Scenario Testing Consultant role is a 6-month contract focused on providing expert input into technology resilience scenario testing and recovery readiness activities. The consultant will assess recovery capabilities, identify weaknesses, and track remediation actions across various platforms and services. This position requires strong stakeholder management and the ability to challenge technical assumptions independently. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in Sheffield for 2 to 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and execution of technology-focused resilience scenario tests
- Challenge resilience assumptions, recovery capabilities, and tolerances
- Assess recovery readiness across critical platforms and services
- Identify and track remediation actions arising from testing and assessments
- Produce concise resilience assessment and scenario testing outputs
- Engage with Technology Risk, Audit, and resilience governance forums
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in technology resilience, disaster recovery, operational resilience, or technology risk
- Experience supporting or leading resilience scenario testing and recovery exercises
- Ability to independently challenge technical recovery assumptions and controls
- Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills
- Experience working with risk, audit, or governance functions
- Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred
