Summary: The role of SCADA Project Manager involves overseeing technical projects related to SCADA and IT networks within a large-scale transformation programme. The position requires strong project management skills, particularly in waterfall methodologies, and excellent stakeholder management abilities. The successful candidate will ensure timely and quality delivery of network-related components while collaborating effectively with various teams. This is a 12-month hybrid contract based in the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and close network-related projects within the transformation programme, adhering to waterfall methodologies.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ideally using MS Project.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering leads, architects, programme team members, and change teams.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders through regular meetings, updates, and documentation.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and change requests.
- Ensure adherence to project governance standards and auditable processes.
- Maintain accurate project records.
- Work closely with other project managers to ensure effective dependency mapping, change management, and overall programme coordination.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programme-wide best practices and methodologies.
- Assist with change management activities related to network projects.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in managing technical projects/programmes related to SCADA networks and/or IT networks (WAN, LAN, etc.).
- Strong understanding of waterfall project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in using MS Project for project planning and tracking.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and facilitating effective collaboration.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with dependency mapping.
- Experience with change management.
