Summary: The SCADA Commissioning Lead is responsible for overseeing the commissioning of SCADA systems for offshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities, while managing risks and ensuring timely resolutions. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and maintaining thorough documentation throughout the commissioning process. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SCADA systems and offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all SCADA commissioning activities to ensure safe, compliant, and schedule-aligned execution across offshore wind projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the SCADA Commissioning Plan, including scope definition, testing strategy, quality requirements, and timelines.
  • Coordinate and drive the preparation and execution of FAT, SAT, and SIT, ensuring testing is performed, documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with project standards.
  • Provide central coordination across SCADA contractors, OEMs, electrical commissioning teams, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless commissioning execution.
  • Manage daily commissioning activities, monitor progress against plan, and proactively identify schedule, quality, and interface risks.
  • Take ownership of corrective actions where deviations occur, ensuring resolution and alignment across all involved parties.
  • Enforce quality and compliance standards, with authority to challenge or reject non-compliant work or documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and HSE requirements for all SCADA-related commissioning activities.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready commissioning documentation.
  • Provide regular progress, risk, and status reporting to the Commissioning Manager and SCADA Package Manager.
  • Support onshore and offshore commissioning activities as required by project scope.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA or automation commissioning, preferably within offshore wind or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical background in SCADA systems, control systems, communications networks, and grid compliance.
  • Proven ability to work independently in complex, multi-contractor EPC environments.
  • Experience leading FAT, SAT, and SIT activities and managing commissioning interfaces.
  • Valid GWO certification (holder responsible for maintenance).
  • Offshore wind experience and willingness to remain offshore for extended periods when required.
  • Ability to use personal IT equipment in compliance with client cybersecurity and device management requirements (including mobile device management and data governance policies).

Airswift is seeking an experienced SCADA Commissioning Lead to support the delivery, commissioning, and handover of SCADA systems for offshore wind projects.

The SCADA Commissioning Lead is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all SCADA?related commissioning activities. This includes Substation Control Systems, WTG SCADA and grid compliance, communication networks, metering systems, and associated auxiliary systems. The role supports risk?informed decision-making during commissioning by identifying schedule, quality, and interface risks and driving timely resolution.
