We are urgently searching for a number of engineering consultants in the 'Power Systems' field for opportunities across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe. These are tied to a major grid modernisation initiative. These roles are well compensated due to the scarcity of engineers with SCADA, EMS, and DMS understanding within power networks. We are looking for professionals who have worked with DNOs or TSOs on grid operational technology, SCADA deployments, EMS or DMS platforms, and associated modelling, simulation, integration, or real-time control environments. Customizing and delivering energy management systems, preferably e-terra AEMS - Reliance Should have worked on Power Systems applications for transmission (Load flow, contingency analysis, power factor, etc.). Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application for transmission software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments. The responsibilities include working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery The ideal profile is an electrical engineer or power systems engineer who understands system topology, fault conditions, telemetry, and communication protocols and can navigate subsystems within network control environments.
