The position involves all activities related to the delivery of the complete SCADA and communications infrastructure within the scope of the offshore renewables project.
Expectations
- Reviewing SCADA and telecommunication documents from suppliers (i.e. WTG, Substation Control Systems, Auxilliary Systems)
- Reviewing internal project documentation with SCADA & telecommunications requirements
- Managing project SCADA and telecommunication requirements
- Creating, maintaining and updating documents such as test schedules and reports
- Management of suppliers and contractors to ensure SCADA and telecommunications programme and technical delivery is aligned with overall project programme and Employer’s Requirements
- Attending factory acceptance tests, interoperability tests, site acceptance tests, onshore commissioning and offshore commissioning
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Control/Computing (Engineering) or equivalent.
- Experience of SCADA systems and industry standard data exchange protocols such as IEC 60807-5-104 / Modbus /OPC is essential experience of these protocols within windfarm systems is desired.
- Knowledge of industrial network and database applications related to SCADA is essential.
- Short periods of Offshore working will likely be required so relevant offshore tickets/certificates are required.
