Summary: The PowerOn Specialist role focuses on configuring, supporting, and maintaining connections with the PowerON Advantage system to extract and store data in a cloud database. The position requires hands-on experience with PowerOn platforms and integration with various IT and OT systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for collaborating with engineering, operations, and IT teams. Knowledge of electric distribution systems and telecontrol communication protocols is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, support, and maintain connection methods with the PowerON Advantage system.
  • Extract data from digital and analogue variables and events for storage in a cloud database.
  • Integrate Power-On with other IT and OT systems, particularly Historian Systems.
  • Utilize telecontrol communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 101/104, ICCP.
  • Manipulate and customize data using SQL and/or Python within PowerOn.
  • Support control room operations in real time.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with PowerOn Control and/or PowerOn Advantage platforms.
  • Proven experience integrating with databases and knowledge of data structure.
  • Knowledge of electric distribution systems (MV/LV) is desirable.

Profile description: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working specifically with PowerOn Control and/or PowerOn Advantage platforms. Proven experience integrating with the database(s) and knowledge about how the information is structured within it (in case it needs to be transformed before storing it). Knowledge of electric distribution systems (MV/LV) is desirable. Experience in integrating Power-On with other IT and OT systems, particularly with Historian Systems . Experience with telecontrol communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 101/104, ICCP). Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data manipulation and customization within PowerOn. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to support control room operations in real time. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams.

Job description: The PowerOn Specialist will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and maintaining the connection methods with the PowerON Advantage system with the objective of extracting data from digital and analogue variables, and events, with the required periodicity, in order to be stored in a cloud database (Timescale or similar).
