Summary: The role of PSA Scada Engineer involves providing functional and technical support for GRID applications within the electric utility sector in the UK. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide functional and technical support for GRID applications such as SCADA, OMS, DMS, EMS, and DERMS.
- Implement application configuration and manage software deployments in utility environments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with project goals.
- Perform electrical data modelling and ensure model exchange formats like CIM are properly integrated.
- Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in the electric utility domain.
- Proven understanding of utility GRID applications (Outage Management, Distribution Management, Energy Management).
- Hands-on experience with: SCADA, OMS, DMS, EMS, DERMS, CIM and model exchange formats.
- Electrical data modelling.
- Strong software design and development skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for database operations.
- Solid grasp of SDLC methodologies including Lean, Agile, XP, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with software security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
