Job Role: SCADA Developer (OT Developer)
Location: Bedford, MA 01730
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SCADA Developer / OT Developer with strong expertise in Industrial Control Systems, PLC programming, and SCADA/HMI development. The candidate will design and implement Operational Technology (OT) solutions for industrial automation environments and support real-time data exchange between production systems and enterprise applications.

Technical Skills
Expert in STL/FBD/Ladder and object-oriented programming preferably using Siemens TIA Portal, CODESYS
Expert in SCADA/HMI development preferably using Siemens WinCC, Ignition, Aveva System Platform
Experience with OPC DA & UA, MODBUS, Ethernet/IP protocols for real-time data exchange
Experience with DCS solutions (Delta-V and/or Siemens PCS), UI design and prototyping
Experience with MS SQL Server and .NET framework

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with SCADA development
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming
  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and Industry 4.0
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal / CODESYS
  • Experience with SCADA platforms (WinCC, Ignition, Aveva System Platform)
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
  • Understanding of industrial automation systems and control architecture

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop SCADA/HMI applications and PLC programs for industrial automation.
  • Build Operational Technology (OT) solutions for manufacturing and R&D environments.
  • Implement real-time data exchange using industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP.
  • Develop control logic using Ladder Logic, STL, and FBD.
  • Integrate PLC, SCADA, and enterprise systems.
  • Work with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver automation solutions.
  • Support system validation and documentation following GAMP 5 and GxP guidelines.
  • Participate in Agile development practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DCS systems (DeltaV / Siemens PCS)
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server and .NET
  • Experience with REST APIs, Docker, Git, CI/CD
  • Understanding of ISA-88 / ISA-95 standards
  • Experience working in GxP regulated environments
