Summary: The role of Scada Architect involves leading the deployment and integration of PowerOn Advantage (PoA) systems within the Power Utilities sector. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SCADA architecture, particularly in multi-vendor environments, and will be responsible for ensuring seamless implementation and system performance optimization. Key tasks include configuring SCADA components, conducting testing, and providing technical guidance to clients. This position requires a hands-on approach and strong communication skills to facilitate customer interactions and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and integrate PoA with OT applications such as GIS, WFM, PI Historian, and corporate application systems.
- Lead the deployment of PowerOn Advantage (PoA) systems, ensuring successful implementation of various components.
- Conduct PoA functionalities testing and develop comprehensive test plans and cases for acceptance and transition.
- Configure SCADA, DMS, and OMS components within PoA and manage system integrations across multi-discipline projects.
- Set up and maintain PoA Application Servers, Database Servers, Reports Servers, FEP Servers, Historian Database, and Proxy Servers.
- Develop custom reports using Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder and deploy them to SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Ensure system security and compliance with IT/OT security standards (e.g., NERC CIP).
- Provide technical guidance in solution architecture, ensuring seamless integration of PoA with external systems.
- Work closely with clients to understand specific operational needs and optimize system performance.
- Support end-to-end solution deployment, ensuring smooth handover to operations.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of SCADA ADMS experience.
- Strong expertise in PowerOn Advantage (PoA) application and architecture.
- Hands-on experience in network configuration of SCADA, DMS, and OMS within PoA.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, Shell, PFL, and Perl scripting.
- Ability to configure SOAP services and interfaces.
- Knowledge of PoA cartography for network build.
- Experience in setting up and managing server replications across multiple environments.
- Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Consulting background.
- Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written).
